When you’re trying to put together a daily schedule, be sure you also schedule interruptions that could happen. By not allowing time for traffic or phone calls, your entire schedule could be thrown off course. If you make allowances for these interruptions, you will be able focus and keep on track.

When you try to work on too many tasks at the same time, it will exhaust you, and the work quality will suffer. Learn how to say no. If you do not, you will face many stressful situations. When you have too much to do, check out your schedule. Can you assign others to do some of the things on your list? If so, never be afraid to speak up and tell others that you need a little help.

If you are in the middle of an important task, try not to let yourself get interrupted with a text message or phone call. You will lose track of where you are and may find it difficult to gain back your focus. After you have finished the task, then you can return phone calls and answer your messages.

Give your schedule a good look over. Does it contain activities that aren’t necessary or just clutter? Is there anything on your list that you would be comfortable with delegating to others? One great time management skill is delegation. When you delegate to others, this frees up time since others are doing these tasks.

If you usually don’t work with schedules, time management will not be easy for you. However, the faster you start, the faster you will see how time management leads to a successful life. Use this advice and better manage your time.
